Since it’s incorporation in 1979, Andec has developed, manufactured and installed Non Destructive Testing systems and fixtures worldwide using advanced Eddy Current and Ultrasonic testing methods. Andec’s NDT equipment can be installed in production lines or stand-alone, providing users with the assurance that they will supply only defect-free products to their customers.

About Andec

Andec is certified to ISO 9001:2015 and is ITAR Controlled Goods Registered.

Andec NDT systems are ‘customized’ for the inspection of each part, such as automotive transmission, engine, drive train and steering parts, as well as aircraft engine and structural components, and military ordnance such as projectile and mortar bodies, etc.

Andec also makes NDT equipment which has become a ‘standard’ Andec product, in-house developed and patented, for the inspection of Aircraft Wheels and Tie Bolts, as well as Laser and Electron Beam Welds in automotive transmission gears.

Andec’s broad customer base includes manufacturers of Automotive, Aircraft and Aerospace parts, Military components and ordnance, as well as Tube, Rod, Bar, Wire and Plate.

Contact our experienced specialists to help you get the best solution for your testing needs, and to enhance your position within your company by making it achieve its goal of supplying only defect free products to its customers.

Send us your contact information and we will immediately get back to you to get a good understanding of your particular needs.

We will discuss those needs with you via phone, email, video conference or a personal visit, and offer suggestions on what is the best testing equipment for your application: from a simple manually operated fixture, to a fully automatic inline testing system, which fits within your price or budget range.

After delivery we will make sure that your system is properly set up with our experienced installers, and that we fully train your operating and service people so that our equipment keeps working well as long as you need it.

Andec’s Pledge To You

All of Andec’s testing equipment is supplied from the Andec design & manufacturing facility in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, located next to the main international airport, a convenient transportation hub for shipping our systems anywhere in the world, without delay.

The design of the mechanical, electrical, and software features is performed at Andec to assure you that you are buying “single source” equipment which provides you with the guarantee and confidence that you are supplying only defect free products to your customer.

Andec was incorporated in 1979 and since that time has always provided full support for any part of its systems, including built-in components supplied by others.

Andec will continue to support its equipment after installation and for as long as the equipment is in use.  Our specialists will always be available on short notice to offer their assistance by phone, email, or personal visit from Andec or our local representative.

Why Andec Uses Eddy Currents and Ultrasonics

Ultrasonics

Ultrasonics is the only NDT method which can not only detect cracks and seams, but can also detect, size, and locate internal defects

Ultrasonics, when used on Andec Testing Equipment, is the only one among all Non-Destructive Testing methods, which can not only detect surface breaking cracks and seams, but can also size and locate flaws, inclusions, and other discontinuities in the part under test, at any distance below the part surfaces.

Ultrasonics produces immediate test results

Ultrasonics, when used on Andec computer and/or PLC controlled, manual and automatic, in-line, or stand-alone testing equipment, also produces immediate testing results, so that acceptable parts can continue in the line after testing, while rejectable parts can be separated out of the line.

Ultrasonics can inspect all homogeneous products

Ultrasonics, when used on Andec Testing Equipment, can inspect 100% of all homogeneous products in production lines or by stand-alone systems, without interrupting the production process. Together with properly designed and built Ultrasonic transducers and instruments, fixtures, and manual or automatic handling equipment, using contact with couplant, part immersion or waterjets and bubblers, such as made by Andec Mfg.

Eddy Currents

Eddy Currents is the only NDT method which can detect cracks and grinder burns, as well as hardness, casedepth, heat treat and material variations

When it is used on Andec Testing Equipment, Eddy Currents is the only one among all Non-Destructive Testing methods which can not only detect surface breaking and some subsurface cracks, seams and pits, but also variations in material and heat treatment such as hardness, casedepth patterns and runout profile, as well as grinder burns on in-process parts, even in high speed production lines.

Eddy Currents leaves parts clean and dry after testing

When it is used on Andec Testing Equipment, Eddy Currents leaves the part clean and dry after testing, for immediate further part processing in the line, at production speeds. Other surface testing methods are slow and leave a liquid or powder on the part which needs time consuming cleaning and drying.

Eddy Currents produces immediate results after testing

When it is used on Andec computer and/or PLC controlled manual or automatic stand-alone or inline testing systems, Eddy Currents also produces immediate test results, so that acceptable parts can continue in the line after testing, while rejectable parts can be diverted out of line into customer supplied containers, or into covered and lockable reject chutes.

Eddy Currents inspects parts at production speeds

When it is used with Andec probes, coils and instruments on the manual or automatic part handling equipment, expertly designed and made by Andec Mfg., Eddy Currents can inspect 100% of all metal parts in or outside of any production line, regardless of the cycle time, without interrupting the production process.
